Short and sharp post today! Amazon delivered a package this morning so I'll have some reading material for my trip to Tasmania next week. I've tried resisting reading it already, got 3 chapters in (they're really short!) but then put it down, I'll save it for the flight.
So, what is the book I'm talking about? "Ignore Everybody - and 39 Other Keys to Creativity" by Hugh MacLeod. For those who don't know of Hugh, he has an excellent blog, called 'gapingvoid' where he posts cartoons and short comments on business, life etc! (I've added his cartoons to my blog, see top right.)
I like Hugh's blog mainly because he 'sees' thing differently, he challenges the orthodox and gets you thinking - can't be a bad thing!
I also like how he uses the visual to communicate a message that couldn't be done in words alone - on this, look also at my posts on a couple of other books (Back of the Napkin/Johnny Bunko)that use pictures and visuals to communicate.
